If you haven’t seen these before, they are the perfect addition to any home that has a movie enthusiast in the house.  And with so many home theaters in houses today, why not make your own personal wedding movie poster front and center of it all!  We used the play on words of “How Sweet it is” to make up Mr + Mrs. Howe’s movie poster.  Their family and friends from the wedding party make up the credits of the poster.

We have done these these with engagement sessions as well and can be customized for events or even family or senior photos!

Suzanne’s step-mother made her this beautiful shawl to wear for her April wedding.  The wedding took place on the beautiful Arsenal Island, Rock Island but we did a pre-wedding photo shoot at St. Ambrose University, Davenport, IA the day before.

We also made use of the Marquette Street boat ramp in Davenport, IA to capture some images of Jeff and Suzanne by the river.  There was a lot of wind that day, but it played nicely with Suzanne’s veil!

Just a minor update to let you know about. I still get requests once in awhile to get a photo of a couple with a specific kind of sign for their photos.  With brides and grooms you often see the “Thank You” sign that gets used to send out Thank Yous after the wedding.  With my engaged couples, they will often want to do a “Save the Date” sign that we use to put on Save the Date Announcement cards or magnets.  Some people will choose to make custom signs but others are just looking for something simple.  I have on hand three new signs that can be used for your photos!  I will have these on hand at the studio, and if you are interested in using them, all you need to do is ask.  My new Thank You signs will make their debut next week at their first wedding since being printed but for all of my other brides and grooms, please let me know if you would like to use them in your upcoming session or wedding!

The personalized Thank You cards are an great way to thank your guests for their gifts and being a part of your big day.  Save the Date announcements can take folded card, postcard or magnet form and are a fun way to let your guests know when the main event is prior to the formal invitations going out.  Contact me for pricing information!

It was non-stop laughs working with Mike and Kristin!  Posing for photos isn’t always everyone’s favorite thing, and it’s usually the men that have a harder time with it than the women but Mike came ready for his close up!  We had a blast and I can’t wait for part II and their wedding in August!

On to Amy and Matt. Adorable is the word that comes to mind, neither one of them could stop smiling the entire time! We started off our session at the Vanderveer Conservatory.  I had not taken any of my couples there before and was excited to have the opportunity finally.  It was the perfect place for us to go and get some warmth before we went outside….. to the ice covered and frigid Vanderveer Park.  They endured the single digit temps for some great outdoor photos!  Amy and Matt will be saying their I dos in June in Davenport!

I get lots of inquires about wanting to do engagement sessions in the winter but worried we can’t because of the cold.  Winter can be a wonderful time for photos!  Snow photos are always great and you can really accessorize with hats, coats, etc.  There was no snow on the ground when we shot Randy + Courtney’s session but they both looked great all bundled up.  We started off outside of Mac’s. It’s where they first met!

I’ll post a couple from the indoor session as well. These two spent a lot of time getting to know each other at the Redstone Room.
